Varicose Vein Therapy

Varicose veins are enlarged, swollen veins that rise above the surface of the skin. They are caused by a condition called venous insufficiency, meaning the valves that prevent blood from flowing backward become weak and allow blood to pool in the vein.

When varicose veins become painful and affect a person’s quality of life, the following minimally invasive treatment is available from IHS Precision Therapy:

Endovenous Chemical Adhesive uses a special medical adhesive to close the vein. With this treatment, minimal local numbing is required and compression garments might not be necessary.

This minimally invasive procedure is performed in our outpatient center with a very low risk of complications. You can return to most normal activities immediately after the procedure.

In addition to performing this minimally invasive treatment, the doctors at IHS Precision Therapy can help you initially by accurately diagnosing your condition. If you have varicose veins and are experiencing pain, call us at 858-677-9957 to schedule a consultation with one of our physicians. As part of your care team, they will work with your primary care doctor and/or cardiologist to help determine if endovenous chemical adhesive is right for you.
