COVID-19 Update 5/8/2020

We are pleased to announce that we will resume performing all imaging tests and interventional radiology procedures on May 18th. Walk in X-rays and same-day mammogram appointments are also available. Added precautions remain in place to protect patients and staff. Tests are spaced to give adequate times between patients for thorough disinfection of equipment. Patients will be screened during scheduling and again when arriving at the entrance of all facilities for symptoms of COVID-19, and those exhibiting symptoms will not be permitted entry. Additionally, anyone who enters must fill out an ATD form. These precautions will remain in place for the foreseeable future to ensure your safety.

If you have questions or would like more information, please call us at 858-658-6500.

COVID-19 Update 4/24/2020

We are looking forward to hopefully welcoming patients back for non-essential Imaging exams soon! The health and safety of our patients and our staff continues to be our absolute top priority, especially during this ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. We have implemented a number of measures to make sure we keep everyone as safe and healthy as possible. That includes screening patients for Coronavirus symptoms before they come into our center and screening our staff daily as they report to work. We are cleaning equipment between every patient, as well as cleaning and sanitizing all common surfaces throughout the day. We have also upgraded our HVAC filters. We are limiting the number of patients scheduled in the waiting room to ensure proper social distancing in compliance with San Diego County guidelines. We are also requiring all patients and staff members to wear a face mask. We appreciate everyone’s help to flatten the curve during this unprecedented time. We want you to have peace of mind that you are safe to come in and see us.

COVID-19 Update 4/16/2020

In accordance with County of San Diego guidelines, we are asking all patients to use some form of face covering when visiting our facilities. The covering does not need to be a mask, we just ask that patients use a face covering. We will provide a mask if a patient arrives without a face covering.

COVID-19 Update 3/13/2020

At IHS, we’re working hard to protect our patients and staff from COVID-19 (novel coronavirus). You can be confident that we’ve taken all the necessary steps to reduce the chances of disease transmission at our centers through patient interaction with our staff and imaging equipment.

We have an infection control team that is actively monitoring the situation and helping us to update our processes as needed. Our scheduling team and front desk staff are screening patients by asking questions that could identify risk both when they call for appointment and again when they check in at the front desk.

We are also using guidelines recommended by the CDC:

  • We have increased the number of times that our centers are cleaned and thoroughly disinfected.
  • We have implemented strict guidelines on the use of personal hygiene measures, such as hand washing after every patient interaction, and the use of alcohol based hand sanitizers.
  • We are offering barrier protection masks to high-risk patients.
  • We educate our staff on a regular basis about ways to protect our patients and themselves from contracting this virus.
  • We are working with our cleaning staff to ensure the proper use of medical grade cleaning materials, as well as providing all equipment and supplies necessary to ensure proper disinfection.

We understand that this is a time of anxiety, and IHS will continue to stay updated through the CDC and other local health department agencies and do our utmost to help you stay safe and healthy.
