Job Description

 Are you an accomplished IT Manager that wants to become part of a team whose commitment is to improve healthcare for everyone.  IHS is currently searching for a dynamic and energetic leader to join our team.  This position is a key member of the IT Team and will report to the Director of Enterprise Technology.

The person filling this role will set the strategic direction for the service desk and ensure a consistent, high quality support and service experience for internal and external users.  Additionally, the IT Manager will be responsible for driving the company to implement multi-year IT Infrastructure and Operations strategy.

Your job experience should include most of the following:

LEAN: you don’t need to be a Lean expert but you should be far enough on your Lean journey that you can actively contribute to a Lean organization.

 Management Experience: enough leadership experience to establish credibility and demonstrate that you can motivate and mentor high performance team of technical experts

 Methodologies: any structured methodology will be considered: (ITIL, COBIT, FitSM)

 Technologies/SkillsAny of the standard stuff – MS O365, Cisco VoIP, VMware, Cisco UCS, EMC Isilon, HIPAA . And some non-standard stuff that is useful but not required – PACS, RIS, EMR, HL7

CertificationsNone are necessary if you have real experience in building/transforming an IT Department.

Summary of Job Responsibilities:

  • Establish and enforce organization standards, SLA’s, policies and procedures.
  • Manage the deployment, operations, maintenance, upgrade and support of all IT systems utilizing direct reports and external partners, vendors, and subcontractors
  • Manages the planning and deployment of IT Infrastructure to meet growth, performance, security and resiliency requirements
  • Define and implement a disaster recovery and business continuity strategy aligned with company high availability objectives.
  • Enforce security practices and ensure IT Operations is meeting defined security requirements for HIPAA, SAS 70, SSAE 16 & SOC. Assist in security audits and prioritize areas of non-compliance.
  • Define, propose, prioritize and manage technical and infrastructure projects and ensure adherence to project management process.







  • A minimum of 2 years of proven ITIL management in Service and Support:
    • Incident, Problem, Service Request, Performance, Capacity and Availability
    • Change, Release, CMBD are desirable
  • A minimum of 2 years managing an IT Service Desk, Help Desk, or Infrastructure Team
  • A minimum of 8 years of progressive technical experience with virtualization, storage, server and network
  • Healthcare IT desirable, Radiology RIS/PACS experience preferred
  • Experience in implementing Microsoft O365
  • Training or work experience with Lean Philosophy
