John M. Doemeny, MD
John M. Doemeny, M.D. is a board-certified Diagnostic Radiologist and is fellowship-trained in Angiography and Interventional Radiology. Dr. Doemeny graduated summa cum laude from the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) and was also elected Phi Beta Kappa. In addition, he has subspecialty Certified Added Qualifications (CAQ) in Angiography and Interventional Radiology. Dr. Doemeny earned his medical degree from the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) and was admitted into the medical honor society, Alpha Omega Alpha. Dr. Doemeny completed his internship at Scripps Mercy Hospital and then returned to UCSF to complete a Diagnostic Radiology residency. He received fellowship training in Angiography and Interventional Radiology at the University of Pennsylvania.
In 1987, Dr. Doemeny joined Imaging Healthcare Specialists and is Co-Director of Interventional Radiology at Mercy Hospital, which is dedicated to excellence in providing the full gamut of non-vascular and vascular interventional radiological procedures. Dr. Doemeny specializes in endovascular techniques including in the treatment of aortic aneurysms and diseases of the carotid artery in the treatment and prevention of stroke, as well as embolization procedures in the treatment of uterine fibroids and acute hemorrhage. Dr. Doemeny is a member of the surgical trauma team at Mercy Hospital, a level I Trauma Center. In 2004, he established the Radiology Medical Group Varicose Vein Center, dedicated to the treatment of diseases of veins. Dr. Doemeny is also the author of several scientific papers and book chapters.
